Why This Listing Exists
Jeffrey Dahmer, also known as the "Milwaukee Cannibal" or the "Milwaukee Monster," was an American serial killer and sex offender who committed the rape, murder, and dismemberment of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
His crimes were particularly gruesome, involving necrophilia, cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts. He preyed on vulnerable individuals, often luring them from gay bars or other public places.
Dahmer was captured in 1991 after a victim escaped and led police to his apartment, where they discovered evidence of his horrific crimes. He was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms.
On November 28, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver at the Columbia Correctional Institution. His body was cremated, and his ashes were divided between his parents after a legal dispute. There is no public memorial or grave.
