Get DirectionsHerb Baumeister, the businessman who buried his victims at his Fox Hollow Farm estate, shot himself in Canada when the heat got too high. His own burial is a secret, but his farm is infamous.
You can't visit his grave, but you can drive by the estate where he hid his crimes. It's a beautiful property with a very ugly past. It's said to be haunted, probably by the ghosts of his bad decisions.
Spooky. The farm has a heavy atmosphere. It's a place where wealth and madness collided. Just don't go hiking in the woods.
Herb Baumeister was an American suspected serial killer. In the early 1990s, police began investigating the disappearances of gay men in the Indianapolis area.
In 1996, while Baumeister was away, his wife allowed police to search their property, Fox Hollow Farm. They discovered the remains of 11 men, eight of whom were identified.
Baumeister fled to Ontario, Canada, where he committed suicide before he could be arrested. He never confessed to the crimes in his suicide note. His burial location is unknown.
