Christopher Wilder, known as the "Beauty Queen Killer," was an Australian serial killer who abducted and raped at least 12 women, killing at least eight of them, during a six-week cross-country spree in the United States in 1984.
Wilder targeted attractive young women, often approaching them at shopping malls under the guise of being a photographer looking for models.
He was cornered by police at a gas station in Colebrook, New Hampshire, on April 13, 1984. During the struggle, he accidentally shot himself in the chest and died. He was cremated in Florida.
