Get DirectionsThe "Gray Man" or "Werewolf of Wysteria" was a truly disturbing individual. He was executed in the electric chair and buried in Flushing Cemetery. Unlike many others on this list, he actually has a specific spot: Section KPC, grave 684.
It's unmarked, of course. But knowing the exact coordinates allows for a very precise expression of disapproval. It's a rare opportunity for accuracy in the world of tyrant tourism.
It's a busy cemetery in Queens. You'll hear the planes from LaGuardia overhead. It's loud, crowded, and utterly indifferent to the monster beneath the soil. A fittingly chaotic resting place.
Albert Fish was an American serial killer, child rapist, and cannibal. He was known as the "Gray Man," the "Werewolf of Wysteria," and the "Brooklyn Vampire." He boasted of having molested more than 100 children and was a suspect in at least five murders.
Fish was a sadomasochist who inflicted pain on himself and others. His crimes were characterized by extreme cruelty and perversion. He famously sent a letter to the parents of one of his victims, Grace Budd, describing in graphic detail how he had killed and eaten her.
He was arrested in 1934 and convicted of the murder of Grace Budd. He was executed by electric chair at Sing Sing Prison on January 16, 1936.
Fish was buried in the prison cemetery, but later moved to Flushing Cemetery in Queens. His grave remains unmarked, a silent testament to a man whose depravity shocked even the hardened detectives of his time.
