Why It's a "Must-Go"

The "Toy Box Killer" died in prison of a heart attack before he could be fully brought to justice for all his crimes. He has no known grave. His "Toy Box" trailer is gone, and he is gone. Good riddance.

You can't visit him, but you can visit the New Mexico desert and scream into the void. It's therapeutic. Just stay away from isolated trailers.

The "Experience"

Dusty and silent. The desert is big enough to swallow a lot of secrets, but Ray's evil was too big to hide. He's nowhere now, which is exactly where he belongs.

Why This Listing Exists

David Parker Ray, known as the "Toy Box Killer," was an American kidnapper, torturer, and suspected serial killer. He is believed to have tortured and murdered as many as 60 women in his soundproofed truck trailer, which he called his "Toy Box," equipped with surgical tools and torture devices.

Ray was convicted of kidnapping and torture in 2001. He died of a heart attack in a state prison in Hobbs, New Mexico, in 2002, before he could be tried for murder.

His burial location is not public. His crimes are among the most disturbing in criminal history.
