Robert Pickton was a Canadian serial killer who was convicted in 2007 of the second-degree murders of six women. He was also charged with the deaths of an additional twenty women, though those charges were stayed.
Pickton operated a pig farm in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, where he lured women from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Police found the DNA of 33 women on his property.
He was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 25 years. In May 2024, he was attacked by another inmate and died from his injuries. His burial details are private.
